The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, authoritative and sufficient for faith, doctrine and daily Christian living.
A vibrant, multicultural, Spirit-filled church rooted in Brisbane and committed to discipleship, worship and mission.
T Church Australia is a small, multicultural, Spirit-filled church community in Sunnybank, welcoming Malayalam and English-speaking people across South Brisbane and greater Brisbane. We are committed to biblical teaching, charismatic worship, prayer, pastoral care and making disciples in the power of the Holy Spirit.
T Church Australia began with a simple but powerful vision: to see lives transformed by the presence of God. What started as a small gathering of believers has grown into a vibrant, Spirit-filled community committed to worship, discipleship and outreach. Rooted in Pentecostal faith, our journey has been marked by prayer, bold steps of faith and a deep love for people. Today, we continue to build on that foundation, raising up leaders, serving our city and creating spaces where people can encounter Jesus.
Our vision is to see people saved, Spirit-filled and strong in Christ, impacting Australia and beyond.
The mission of our church is the task given by God for the people of God to accomplish in the world: the Great Commission. We exist to lead people to the discipleship of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Our work is partnership from membership to discipleship: worshipping God, discipling believers, supporting missions, serving the needy, encouraging families and creating awareness programs that strengthen the church and community.
We gather in worship, Word, prayer and fellowship.
We equip believers to follow Christ faithfully in daily life.
We serve the community and witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Biju Alexander serves with a deep burden for souls and a heart to lead people to Christ. A graduate of Gospel For Nations, Tiruvalla, he brings decades of ministry experience in preaching the Word, nurturing believers, and guiding people into a deeper walk with the Lord.
T Church Australia is a registered charitable institute based in Brisbane, Queensland. Since our founding on 18 July 2021, we have been dedicated to serving our community and spreading the Word of the Lord. Our working committee and dedicated servants work passionately for the Lord, creating a welcoming environment for all who come through our doors. Through worship services, outreach, community care and educational initiatives, we seek to make a positive impact and build a stronger, faith-filled community for the glory of God.
Matthew 28:18–20 reminds us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them and teaching them to obey everything Christ commanded. Mark 13:10 declares that the gospel must first be preached to all nations.
The name “T” was chosen for its simplicity, uniqueness and depth. It points to the cross of Christ, the centre of Christian faith, and echoes the ancient Tau shape that has long carried associations of salvation, life, humility and witness. We are not creating a new theology or trend; we are using a simple symbol to remind every generation that the church exists under the cross, through the Word, by the Spirit and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
The name is intentionally simple, but not shallow. It invites questions, opens conversation and points people back to the central message of Christianity: Christ crucified, risen and reigning.
For T Church, the letter also helps frame our story around biblical words such as truth, testimony, transformation, thanksgiving and triumph.
What is Behind the Name: T Church
Prelude
When our church pondered upon a name, the adoption process was guided by certain principles:
It should be a unique name that resonates with both current and future generations.
It should possess simplicity in appearance yet hold profound meaning.
It should provoke questions in the minds of individuals, inspiring them to ask why this name was chosen and what it signifies.
It should integrate the name and its shape into a comprehensible understanding.
It should unite the Old and New Testaments, offering an encompassing perspective of the entire Bible.
AS A RESULT, WE WERE LED BY THE LORD TO THE NAME: “T”
Retrospect
The cross, a legendary symbol of Christianity, serves as a reminder of Christ’s passion and sacrifice for humanity, redeeming mankind from the wages of sin and rising from the dead on the third day. The shape of the cross holds numerous historical stories. While many see the letter “T” merely as the 20th letter of the English alphabet, it bears deeper significance. The 19th letter of the Greek alphabet is Tau, which also resembles “T.” This ancient symbol, present in both Greek and Hebrew alphabets, finds specific mention in the Old Testament. Some speculate that Jesus was crucified on a Tau cross. The Tau cross had significance for various cultures before it became closely associated with Christianity, particularly the Franciscan Order. In Hebrew, Tau is the final letter, symbolizing the revealed Word of God and its perfection, even representing the Last Day.
The Tau cross is representative of salvation and of life, due in part to its association with the sparing of believers in the Bible.
As Tau is the last letter in the Hebrew alphabet, it symbolizes the revealed Word of God, its completion and perfection. It also can be said to symbolize the Last Day.
It’s believed that St. Francis used the Tau as an amulet to protect against plagues and diseases, rampant at the time. As such, the Tau signifies protection.
The Tau cross, much like any other type of Christian cross, is a symbol of Jesus’ crucifixion and everything that it represents for Christians.
The symbol of the Tau is sometimes considered to represent the habit of a friar with arms stretched out. St. Francis is believed to have told his fellow friars that their habit was in the shape of the Tau. As such, they were to be ‘walking crucifixes’, representing the compassion and faithfulness of God.
Tau crosses are often carved out of wood, to signify humility, simplicity and flexibility, characteristics essential for believers.
The Tau had significance to other cultures as well. It was an emblem of the Roman God Mithras. It was also believed to represent Tammuz, the Sumerian god of death and resurrection. In pagan beliefs, the Tau symbolized immortality. One of the most simple and recognizable Christian crosses, the Tau cross is a beloved symbol among Christians. However, while it’s an excellent way to represent one’s faith and identity, the Tau is an ancient symbol that pre-dates Christianity and holds pagan associations.
Relevance of this symbol in today’s world
The Tau is among the most popular crosses today, often worn by believers as a pendant or a charm, as a reminder of their commitment to their Christian beliefs. The tau cross is a T-shaped cross, sometimes with all three ends of the cross expanded. It is called a “tau cross” because it is shaped like the Greek letter tau, which in its upper-case form has the same appearance as Latin letter T.
What was the real shape of Cross?
When we read the “New Testament History: A Narrative Account” by Ben Witherington III, it mentions, “the inscription and sigil found on a first or second-century ossuary from Jerusalem had the inscription on the bone box reads “Jesus of Aloth” followed by a “T.” One archaeologist, E. L. Sukenik, interpreted this to be the sign of the cross, and therefore claimed this inscription as the earliest Christian burial label.”[1]
From the curiosity and with the google effect, the writer just typed: What was the real shape of Cross? in google. The google gave:
“The instrument of Jesus’ crucifixion (known in Latin as crux, in Greek as stauros) is generally taken to have been composed of an upright wooden beam to which was added a transom, thus forming a “cruciform” or T-shaped structure.”[2]

It is not purely coincidence that the whole bible can be explained with words that starts with “T” and when we start with Genesis it is the creation of the earth that is mentioned and the creator mentioned there is the Trinity. Conclusion
Here we are not trying to make a new theology or a trend. We try to lean on God’s plan instead of human thinking and thought pattern.
According to Andy Crouch, “Christians are called to bear the image of God, to restore the image the God and to make the most of today, while it is called today.” When Os Guinness describes the purpose in life he wraps it in a single verse as, “For a purpose big enough to absorb every ounce of your attention, deep enough to plumb every mystery of your passions, and lasting enough to inspire you to your last breath?.” So, as a child of God I should practice my purpose of life today which is lasting enough to inspire till my last breath in earth.
Hope the name and the church will be beneficial in your spiritual journey with God. God Bless.

Our faith is grounded in the Holy Scriptures, centred on Jesus Christ, and lived in the power of the Holy Spirit. These statements summarise the biblical convictions that guide our worship, fellowship and ministry.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, authoritative and sufficient for faith, doctrine and daily Christian living.
We believe in one eternal God, Creator of all things, revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit: perfect in holiness and abounding in love.
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man; born of the virgin Mary, sinless, crucified for our sins, risen bodily and exalted as Lord.
We believe salvation is received by repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ, bringing forgiveness, new birth, justification and adoption into God’s family.
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, sanctifies, empowers believers and gives spiritual gifts for witness, worship and ministry.
We believe water baptism declares our union with Christ in His death and resurrection, and the Lord’s Supper remembers His sacrifice until He comes.
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship, fellowship, discipleship, service and the fulfilment of the Great Commission.
We believe God heals, restores and transforms lives through the redemptive work of Christ, the power of the Spirit and the promises of Scripture.
We believe every person will stand before God, and our eternal destiny rests in our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe Jesus Christ will return as He promised, and this blessed hope calls us to holiness, faithfulness and readiness.
We Believe
· We hold the conviction that the Bible stands as the divine Word of God, displaying accuracy, authority, and relevance in our day-to-day existence.
· Our faith pivots on a singular eternal God, the Creator of all things, existing in a trinity of divine Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. His nature encompasses boundless love and complete holiness.
· Recognizing the impact of sin, we acknowledge its role in distancing us from God and obstructing His intended purpose for our lives.
· We affirm the identity of the Lord Jesus Christ, as both fully divine and human. He alone serves as the conduit for our reconciliation with God, leading a life untainted by sin, ultimately sacrificing Himself on the cross, and triumphantly rising from the dead, thereby validating His victory and empowering our existence.
· We uphold the belief that embracing forgiveness and the experience of spiritual rebirth necessitates genuine repentance, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and unwavering submission to His divine will.
· We emphasize the significance of water baptism and the infusion of the Holy Spirit’s potency in achieving lives of sanctity and productivity. Through the Holy Spirit, we gain access to spiritual gifts, including the gift of tongues.
· We acknowledge that each of us has been uniquely equipped by God, granting us the capacity to accomplish His ordained purpose. This purpose encompasses the worship of God, the fulfilment of our roles within the Church, and the service to our immediate community.
· Our faith encompasses the conviction that God’s intention includes our healing and transformation, enabling us to lead lives of vitality and abundance, thereby enhancing our ability to effectively aid others.
· We hold the understanding that our ultimate destiny, whether in Heaven or Hell, hinges on our response to the Lord Jesus Christ. The ultimate judgment rests in the hands of God, transcending human determinations.
· We await with unwavering hope the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ, in fulfilment of His promise.
Preamble
The Holy Scriptures, known as the Bible, is the inspired Word of God and our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. These articles of faith of the T Church, grounded in these scriptures, are given as a basis for belief, fellowship, and ministry “that we all preach the same thing” (1 Corinthians 1:10). Let it be remembered, however, that this is not given as a summary of the complete revelation of biblical truth, only that it covers our present needs as to these fundamental doctrines.
4.1 The Eternal Godhead
We believe in the unity of the true and living God who is the eternal, self-existent one, who has revealed himself as one being in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and who is the Creator and preserver of things visible and invisible (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Psalm 86:9-10; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28.19, Mark 12:29; John 1:1-3).
The One True and Triune God – The one true and triune God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM”, the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10,11; Matthew 28:19).
4.2 The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the second person of the triune Godhead, who was and is the eternal Son of God; that he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary. We believe in his sinless life, miraculous ministry, substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, glorious ascension, and abiding intercession (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 24:39; Acts 1:9; 2:22; 10:38; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 4:8-10; Hebrews 7:25-26; 9:12; 1 Peter 2:22).
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and the second person in the Godhead. The Scriptures declare:
(a) His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31,35)
(b) His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22)
(c) His miracles (Acts 2:22; 10:38)
(d) His substitutionary work on the cross (1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21)
(e) His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39; 1 Corinthians 15:4)
(f) His exaltation to the right hand of God (Acts 1:9,11; 2:33; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:3)
4.3 The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the triune Godhead, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, and is ever present and active in the work of convicting and regenerating the sinner and sanctifying and guiding the believer into all truth (John 14:26; 16:8-11; Romans 8:14; 1 Peter 1:2).
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit – All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian Church. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4,8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31). This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth (Acts 8:12-17; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9). With the Baptism in the Holy Spirit come such experiences as an overflowing fullness of the Spirit (John 7:37-39; Acts 4:8), a deepened reverence for God (Acts 2:43; Hebrews 12:28), an intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work (Acts 2:42), and a more active love for Christ, for His Word and for the lost (Mark 16:20).
4.4 The Holy Scriptures
We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, namely the Old and New Testaments in their original writings. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is infallible, inerrantly revealing the will of God concerning us all in all things necessary to our salvation and is absolutely supreme and sufficient in authority in all matters of faith and conduct. The Bible does not simply contain the Word of God, but is, in reality, the complete revelation and very Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, so that whatever is not contained therein is not to be enjoined as an article of faith (Matthew 5:17-18; 24:35; John 4:39; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21).
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man – the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:15-17; I Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).
4.5 The Devil
We believe in the personality of the devil, who, by his influence, brought about the downfall of man, and now seeks to destroy the faith of every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (Genesis 3:1-15; Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13; John 13:2; James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8).
4.6 The Fall of Man
We believe that man was created by God by specific immediate act and in his image and likeness, morally upright and perfect, but fell by voluntary transgression.
Consequently, all men are separated from original righteousness, being depraved and without spiritual life (Genesis 1:26-31; 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21).
Man was created good and upright; for God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God (Genesis 1:26,27; 2:17; 3:6; Romans 5:12-19).
4.7 The Atonement
We believe that God’s answer to man’s sinful state is in the death of his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, on the cross, whose sufferings and shed blood have made full atonement for the sins of the whole world, both original and actual, and that there is no other ground for salvation (2 Corinthians 5:18-21; Galatians 1:4; Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14; Hebrews 9:25-26; 1 Peter 1:19-20).
4.8 Salvation of Man
We believe that salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This experience is also known as the new birth and is an instantaneous and complete operation of the Holy Spirit whereby the believing sinner is regenerated, justified, and adopted into the family of God and becomes a new creation in Christ Jesus and heir of eternal life.
The only hope of redemption for man is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God.
5(a) Conditions to Salvation – Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life (Luke 24:47; John 3:3; Romans 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8; Titus 2:11; 3:5-7).
5(b) The Evidences of Salvation – The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24; Titus 2:12).
4.9 The Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of its great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the general assembly and church of the first-born whose names are written in heaven (Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:22; Hebrews 12:23).
4.10 Water Baptism
We believe that baptism, by single immersion, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, is enjoined on all who have repented and have believed in Christ as Saviour and Lord, and that it is symbolic of our identification with Christ in his death, burial and resurrection (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; 2:38-39; Romans 6:4-5; Colossians 2:12).
4.11 The Lord’s Supper
We believe that the Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4); a memorial of his sufferings and death (1 Corinthians 11:26); and a prophecy of his second coming (1 Corinthians 11:26), and is enjoined on all believers “until He comes” (Matthew 26:26-28; Luke 22:1520; Acts 20:7).
4.12 Sanctification
We believe that sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God. We believe it is the glorious provision for every believer in Christ to be made pure in heart and wholly sanctified, through the operation of the Holy Spirit, by the blood of Jesus and the Word of God (John 17:15-19; Acts 15:8-9; Romans 12:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4; 5:23-24; Hebrews 2:11; 10:16-19).
4.13 The Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is the bestowing of the believer with power to be an effective witness for Christ. This experience is distinct from, and subsequent to, the new birth; is received by faith, and is accompanied by the manifestation of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, as the initial evidence (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-5, 8; 2:1-4; 8:15-19; 11:14-17; 19:1-7).
4.14 Gifts
We believe in the present-day operation of the nine supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit, as recorded in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10. We also believe in the ministry gifts of Christ, as recorded in Ephesians 4:11-13.
4.15 Divine Healing
In accordance with the teachings of the scriptures, we trust our heavenly Father to protect and heal our bodies from sickness and disease. We believe that divine healing for the body, as with all redemptive blessings of God, has been provided for us by the atoning death and victorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ; it is the privilege of all believers and it is appropriated by faith in our heavenly Father’s unfailing promises (Exodus 15:26; Psalms 103:3; Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:14-15).
4.16 The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the premillennial, imminent, and personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ to gather his people to himself. Having this glorious hope and earnest expectation, we purify ourselves, even as he is pure, so that we may be ready to meet him when he comes. (John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; 2 Thessalonians 2:1; Titus 2:13; James 5:7-8; 1 John 2:28; 3:2-3).
4.17 The Millennium
We believe in the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to set up his millennial reign on this earth (Psalm 11; 96:10-13; Daniel 7.22; Zechariah 14:5; Revelation 5:9-10; 20:1-10).
4.18 The Punishment of the Wicked
We believe in the everlasting punishment of the wicked (in the sense of eternal torment) who wilfully reject and despise the love of God manifested in the great sacrifice of his only Son on the cross for their salvation (Matthew 25:46; 13:49-50; Luke 12:47-48; Romans 6:23; 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9; Revelation 20:11-15).
We believe that the devil and his angels and whoever is not found written in the book of life shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Revelation 19:20; 20:10-15).
4.19 The New Heavens and the New Earth
“We, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells” (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation chapters 21-22).
4.20 Creation
We believe that the heavens and earth and all original life forms, including humanity, were made by the specific immediate creative acts of God as described in the account of origins presented in Genesis, and that all biological changes which have occurred since creation are limited to variation within each species..
